Google is now yours to customize

Google.com is now yours to customize and personalize. Aside from the rainbow colored logo and it’s whimsical variations (called Google's Doodles), Google’s homepage has taken a severely minimalist approach with its sparse background. All that changed recently when Google announced that visitors of the popular search engine’s page will now have the ability to customize the page to suit their aesthetic whims. It is actually a subtle approach by Google to replicate Bing.com

To add a background image to your Google search page, just click on the unassuming “Change Image Background” link in the lower-left corner of the site. You will have the option of uploading a picture from your Picasa account, your hard drive or a set of stock images provided by Google. It’s a pretty simple process, you just select your photo, click upload and voila, Google become a split image of Bing.com
