Bulan September lalu, Sasmung mengumumkan kalau smartphone Galaxy S II telah terjual sebanyak lebih dari 10 juta unit. Dan bulan ini, 5 bulan setelah capaian 10 juta tersebut Samsung kembai mengumumkan terjualnya lebih dari 20 juta unit varian Galaxy S II di seluruh dunia.
Angka dua puluh juta unit tersebut diraih dalam kurun waktu 10 bulan sejak Galaxy S II diluncurkan pertama kali pada April 2011 lalu. Ponsel yang terkenal karena layar Super Amoled Plus dan dual core serta bodi tipis nya itu tidak lama lagi akan segera di re-generasi oleh Samsung dengan perusahaan Korea tersebut menyiapkan penerusnya, Galaxy S III yang kemungkinan akan diumumkan pada acara yang dihelat Samsung di Amsterdam pada awal Maret mendatang.
