Fortunately, to make it easier for you to manage your comments, Google Blogspot have now created a new Comments tab for you to access them. Here, you can manage published comments, comments that have been flagged as spam and comments awaiting moderation if you have turned on Comment Moderation.
As mentioned, I for one hated comment spams but previously helpless in doing anything about it other than delete them manually, tens, twenty of them. Blogspot users with Comment Moderation turned on will continue to see comments that need moderation and have not been flagged as spam in Comments | Awaiting Moderation. Users without Comment Moderation will not see any comments in Comments | Awaiting Moderation.
Comment Spam is a big issue that you will face as your blog begins to gain popularity in the industry. You will see comments full of pornography, viagra, or other spammy links in massive counts. Also, you will see fake spammy sites making you think they are linking to your article by sending a trackback.
So, with this new anti-spam feature from Blogspot, hopefully it can deter spammers (or someone who has lots of time to kill) from posting unnecessary comments/feedback.
