A few days ago, Google has updated their PageRank (PR) system, the last update occurred during the end of December 2009. This blog has been promoted another notch to PR4. My other blog was promoted from PR1 to PR3. As usual, Google never officially announced the PR update.
With the latest Google PR update, some bloggers must be happier to get better ranking, while those that were slapped (having their PR reduced/downgraded or demoted) would either whined or cursed Google.
As discussed before, many users added that they don't really care about Google PageRank and traffic means more to them. That is true, higher PR doesn't guarantee better traffic.
Google's PageRank (PR) system is a useful indicator for SEO agencies and webmasters in adjudicating the relevance of a website and just how much authority Google has applied to any given webpage on a scale of 0 to 10. A website with a PageRank of 0 is deemed to have little-to-no relevance or authority at all with those closer to 10 being judged as trustworthy with high quality content and worthwhile services.
